Our

MADELINE

There are some people whose presence in this world is so radiant, so full of kindness and life, that their absence leaves an indescribable silence. Madeline Kingsbury, Maddi was one of those people, a rare soul whose spark of life could brighten even the darkest moments.

To speak of Maddi is to speak of love. Pure, selfless, vibrant love. She was a daughter who made her parents proud every day. A sister whose bond was unshakable. An aunt whose laughter lit up little hearts. A friend whose support never wavered. And above all else, she was a mother, the kind every child dreams of having. The kind who could dry any tear, calm any fear, and make the world feel safe, even on its worst days.

Maddi was a nerd in the most beautiful and inspiring ways curious, brilliant, and passionate about learning. Her mind was as bright as her heart was big. She had a deep love for helping people, and it wasn’t just a career path or a pastime it was her calling. Whether you were a lifelong friend or a stranger passing through her day, Maddi made time for you. She saw people. She truly listened, and she gave you her full heart.

And oh, could she sing. Her voice was like a balm to the soul sweet, soothing, like an angel whispering hope into the wind. It didn’t matter if it was a lullaby for her children, a song with family at a holiday gathering, or just something she hummed while going about her day when Maddi sang, the world felt softer.

But her greatest masterpiece was the love she poured into her role as a mother. She wasn’t just a “great mom” she was the best. Her children were her universe, and she poured every ounce of her being into creating a life of warmth, wonder, and unwavering love for them. Her legacy lives on in their smiles, their strength, and the way they will forever carry a piece of her heart.

On March 31st, 2023, our world was shattered. Maddi was taken from us by the cruel, senseless hands of domestic violence a tragedy that should never have happened. It’s impossible to understand how someone so full of light could be met with such darkness. The grief is sharp, and the injustice unbearable. But even in the deepest pain, her love endures.

We remember Maddi not just in tears, but in action. We remember her in the way we show up for one another, in the way we treat others with gentleness and grace, and in the way we lift our voices for those who can no longer speak for themselves. Her story must not end in silence. It must fuel change. It must remind us that domestic violence is real and that we owe it to Maddi and to every soul like hers to never stop fighting for a world where love protects, not harms.

If you were lucky enough to know her, you know how she made you feel seen, heard, safe and loved. You are better for it. We all are. Even though she is no longer with us in the way we wish she were, her spirit lives on. In every act of kindness. In every song sung softly. In every heart that chooses love over fear.

Madeline Kingsbury, you are missed beyond words. Loved beyond measure. And remembered with every heartbeat.
